Armaan was born on September 15th 1986 at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead London. Brought up in Baker Street, he was a Scholarship student at University College School from where he completed his GCSE's and A-Levels and went on to read Law at Queens' College at the University of Cambridge in 2005.
After Graduation, Armaan wanted a new challenge and initially applied to acting school in order to explore his creative ambitions and in order to differentiate his application for Bar School - however, during his training at the Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares institute Armaan made the very bold decision to pursue acting as a parallel career. He went on to train at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts before making his debut in his home production, Shortcut, Directed by Natasha Barber which was also written by Armaan. Soon after, he was signed by Nikhil Advani for Patiala House alongside veteran actors Akshay Kumar, Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia. Armaan received considerable critical acclaim for his portrayal of 'Jassi' - He was appointed as the first Celebrity Ambassador of St. Luke's Hospice soon after the release of Patiala House and he intends to thus lend support in order to help raise funds for the noble work of the organisation.
Armaan's next film is a smaller independent British Asian film, London Life which has been directed by debutant Naveen Medaram who has previously been involved in the post production process for high budget Hollywood films such as Iron Man 2, The Dark Knight and Harry Potter. Aside from acting, Armaan is also a Writer, Director and Film Producer. Having a passion for theatre as well as film, Armaan performed as an actor at the 2010 London Literature Festival at Southbank in Tahmima Anam's A Golden Age and went on to Direct his debut theatre production at London's Rudolf Steiner Theatre, 'Project Runway' in September 2010.
He is currently developing some of his own writing while looking forward to his forthcoming acting projects.
